Welcome back for the end of part 5 of our herb series. For this part, we are going to get into the benefits of Lavender and Rose Petals. I’m sure we’ve all used lavender and rose petals as fragrance oils, soap scrubs, lotions, and just as flowers that we have within our homes. However, they can also benefit the hair. For those of you who don’t know there’s Rosewater, Lavender Water and they also come in oil and powder form. So why aren’t we talking about these products a lot more as it relates to natural products that will work on our hair? Hmm, to be honest, I’m not really sure but that’s ok because this is why we are doing these posts. So let’s get into how your favorite scent can also benefit your hair while on this natural hair journey.
Welcome to Part 3 of our 6 part herb series. Last time around in part 2, we got into the benefits of Alma, Nettle, Sage, and Fenugreek. This time around, we’ll get into the benefits of Hibiscus, Chamomile, and Bhringraji [i.e false daisy]. Many of us have definitely at least heard of Hibiscus and Chamomile, but how many of you knew about false daisy and what it can do for our hair before today? Not many then that’s ok because this is why we’re doing this 6 part series for us, natural hair people, to get in touch with our inner herbal lifestyle selves. So let’s become one with nature and its herbs. As herbal remedies have amazing healing effects for not only the body, mind, and soul, but they can also give us the thick, voluminous, and smooth texture that we are looking for with our curl pattern and hair. So let’s get into it.
So I’m back to give you part 2 of our 6 part herb series. Remember last time around we talked about Fenugreek, Holy Basil, and Curry Leaves. However this time around, we’re going to talk about the benefits of Alma, Nettle, Sage, and one of my favorites Ginseng. Many of these herbs are not common household items because most of us aren’t drinking tea with any of these products, let alone eating them. Funny thing is that they are commonly referred to when it comes to natural remedies for hair damage, strength, and growth. Listen, guys, summer is coming and we all know that’s the season for natural hair realness to come out. Like winter in the city is just a drag when it comes to natural hair realness because of your hat, the wind, the influx temperature changes from cold to freezing and so on and so forth. However, I’m sure you guys are prepping your hair similar to the way that I am, in order to have that “naturale realness” this summer. If you’re not sure about what “naturale realness” means, it’s the art of living in one’s natural beauty. So let’s get into the benefits of these herbs and why partially living an herbal lifestyle can help to achieve your natural hair goals.
